BMR Calculator

About the BMR Calculator

How to use it

1. Pick your sex, then enter age, height and weight. 2. Your BMR appears instantly — the calories your body burns at complete rest. 3. The table below shows your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure) for each lifestyle, from sedentary to extra active.

BMR vs TDEE

BMR is what your body burns just keeping organs running — about 60–70% of your daily burn. TDEE multiplies BMR by an activity factor and is the number that actually matters: eat more than TDEE to gain, less to lose, equal to maintain.

How accurate is it?

The Mifflin-St Jeor equation is the modern standard and is typically within ±10% for the general population. Individual variation exists (muscle mass, hormones, genetics), so treat the numbers as a starting point and adjust after two weeks of tracking.

Next step

Turn these numbers into a plan with the Calorie Calculator — it sets a daily target for your goal (lose, maintain or gain) and suggests a macro split.
