DNS Lookup
Results are resolved by Google/Cloudflare public resolvers, not your ISP's DNS. No query is logged by this site.
About the DNS Lookup Tool
How to use it
1. Enter a domain name — or an IP address for a reverse lookup — and pick a record type (ALL shows everything). 2. Read the parsed details: MX priority and mail server, SOA serial and timers, CAA issuer rules. 3. Scroll down for the Domain Health Summary covering website, email, SPF, DMARC, DNSSEC and CAA.
What the record types mean
A records map a domain to an IPv4 address; AAAA to IPv6; CNAME aliases one name to another; MX says which servers receive the domain's email; TXT holds SPF/DKIM and verification data; NS lists the domain's nameservers; SOA describes the zone itself; CAA restricts which certificate authorities may issue TLS certificates; PTR reverses an IP back to a name; SRV locates services like SIP.
What is TTL?
TTL (time-to-live) is how many seconds other servers may cache the record. A low TTL means changes propagate faster; a high TTL (like 1d) reduces load but slows down updates. Common values: 300s for quick-change DNS, 3600s for stable records.
How this tool resolves
Browsers can't send raw DNS queries, so this tool uses DNS-over-HTTPS via Google Public DNS (with Cloudflare as automatic fallback). Results therefore reflect what those public resolvers see — usually identical to your own provider, but occasionally a cached copy differs for a few minutes after a change.
